  • I have the Dragon Mobile Assitant app on my Android phone – it’s free. It works great and is easy to use. I use it primarily for texting and emails, this is a big time saver.

Dragon software without any question is the quickest way to express your thoughts in writing. Later versions of the software also help you to navigate quickly through websites, and e-mail.

If you are a writer, Dragon should be your next best friend. (I used Dragon to ‘write’ this comment in only a few seconds!)

  • John, I currently use Dragon regularly for writing articles and for replying to email. For me, it works great. I do believe the Preferred edition is better. Regarding your comment about it being temperamental, there are some tricks I have learned to using it well. 1) It needs a fast computer with as much memory as you can give it. 2) After initial training use the program itself to make transcription corrections. That allows the program to learn and become more accurate. 3) A good microphone or headset is essential. I use a Plantronics USB BlueTooth headset that I purchased with the program. The quality of the sound is key to accurate results. 4) Use it in a quite place. Background noise can be a problem.

Dragon saves me time because it allows me to talk faster than I can type. It is well worth trying.

PS: If you have an iPhone you need to download their free app. Talk to your phone and have it transcribed. Works really well.

  • Is anyone using this program and if so, comments? I’ve heard it can be temperamental?
