We have been a user of The Agency Manager (TAM) for 8 years. This policy mangement system exceeds our agency expectations. They have the best support group. They assist us with both hardware and software support. TAM is an easy end user product and even has managable backend programming by an administrator. We love it and will continue to use it until we upgrade to EPIC.

We’ve been on AMS360 online since beta and previously AFW online, and AFW in-house since beta. We’d like to think it is great but really cannot compare, having no experience on anything else.
We would love to hear from an Applied user who recently switched from AMS360: the pros, the cons, the issues to watch out for during conversion, did everything convert, etc?
(I input the best rating on everything to avoid degrading Regina’s review.)

We have been using TAM since 1996 and overall is a good product. Once you learn how to use it you can’t remember working without it. It is costly compared to others and is really heavy on commercial lines and agency billed policies. If your agency dosen’t write commercial lines or do agency bill very often you might be more interested in a smaller, more cost effective system like Applied Doris or Hawksoft. Although I have yet to use these other management systems, I have demo’d both and we are currently switching to Doris. I must say however, that if you are thinking about switching, do ask about possible loss of data during the conversion as it is possible and even likely with some companies.

i have been using TAM thru Applied Systems since 2000 and have been increasingly unhappy with their product and support. Specifically, with the accounting portion of the system and particularly with their “Real Time Support”. So unhappy, that we are now switching to a new Agency Management System with a different provider!

We are currently on TAM and planning to switch as we found it difficult to work with especially for our larger clients. We have been looking at AMS 360 and or upgrading to EPIC. Has anyone else gone through this process?

We’ve been using AMS360 for several years and love the product. I’m not sure the support will be any better than Applied. From what I’ve seen of EPIC, it looks like a great product too.

Thank you Robert as we’ve made the decision to go with AMS 360 and heard many good things about it!
